Dinosaur Day - G's first blog post and review of Field Station: Dinosaurs

G, age 11, has been asking for her own blog for quite some time. "I have things to say," she has declared, somewhat ominously.  Actually, G is outspoken, well spoken, and has strong opinions un-censored by age, so perhaps her voice is exactly what blogosphere has been waiting for.  Today, I sent her out into the field with her dad on an assignment.  To go to the brand new Field Station: Dinosaurs park in Secaucus NJ, and write a review.  Here are the things she had to say about the day:

"We started from Base Camp and followed the guided paths.  There were lots of tents along the way to do stuff, there was a dinosaur dig, a food area, there were big dinosaurs, small dinosaurs, flying dinosaurs.  At the end you go through a cool gift shop with lots of dinosaur themed toys.  If you go through the tents you get special stamps for your passport. I think it's best for 8 - 14 year olds.  It might be scary to some younger children.  There was a T-Rex show, and I got to pat the T-Rex on the head!

The dinosaurs were really big!  I liked that they made them look and sound really real.  They were fun to watch.  They do a good job with their shows.  Their hot dogs are good.   If you don't know where to go in New Jersey, this is a nice fun place on a warm day.  Thumbs and Toes Up!"

Check out the video of the dinosaurs themselves.

I may put her to work on my book, next.
